Labrador Labs (CEOs Jin-seok Kim and Hee-jo Lee), a specialized software (SW) supply chain security company, announced on the 23rd that it has successfully raised 14.5 billion KRW (approximately $11 million) in a Series B funding round.
This round saw participation from major investors including Shinhan Venture Investment, DS Asset Management, POSCO Capital, Stonebridge Ventures, Korea Asset Investment Securities, Tyche Investment, and Novorsec Investment. In particular, the company explained that Shinhan Venture Investment and POSCO Capital joined the round from a strategic investment perspective, reinforcing Labrador Labs’ technological prowess and potential for market expansion.
With this new capital, Labrador Labs plans to focus on securing “super-gap” core technologies, recruiting top-tier talent, and accelerating global market expansion, with a primary focus on North America.
As modern enterprises increasingly leverage open-source software, external libraries, and AI development tools, security risks across the software supply chain are growing proportionally. Software supply chain security has emerged as a critical challenge that goes beyond simple development issues, directly impacting corporate trust, service stability, and regulatory compliance.

Labrador Labs has developed a comprehensive “Supply Chain Security Total Platform,” featuring:
- Software Composition Analysis (SCA) solutions.
- Labrador SCM: A platform for exchanging SBOMs (Software Bill of Materials) between companies.
- Labrador ServerCare: A solution for managing real-time vulnerabilities on production servers.
- Labrador LLM: A specialized AI model for software supply chain security that has improved open-source license detection accuracy by over 10%.
Following this investment, the company intends to enhance security at the development stage, enabling customers to manage open-source risks more precisely and systematically. Labrador Labs has also commenced aggressive hiring across all departments from core technical roles in AI and security engine development to sales and marketing to establish a growth framework for simultaneous technological advancement and business expansion.
Moving forward, Labrador Labs plans to solidify its position as a leading supply chain security specialist by expanding its domestic customer base while strengthening its presence in the global market.
